Description:
Volunteers will be assigned to local schools where they will be expected to teach basic conversational English skills (14-20 hours/week). You will have free time to explore one of the most untouched parts of the country that China has to offer. You can experience China and make a difference in the lives of these children by participating in Abroad China's 3 week volunteer teaching program in Sichuan.
Millions of school-age children, especially minority children in China's remote western provinces, receive only a rudimentary education. To be able to be part of China's economic boom and communicate with the rest of the world, these children need basic English skills.
