Community Radio Intern

Description: Currently, The Abusua Foundation is working on behalf of Eagle FM, an independent radio station located in Cape Coast at the Cape Coast Polytechnic to recruit interns for placements ranging from two to four months. Internships are available for individuals who are up for the challenge of maintaining an excellent standard of journalism with limited resources.

Highlights: Placements will involve on-air support as well as behind the scenes support, including editing, advertising and additional support for on-air personalities. Interns are encouraged to share their creativity with local workers and interns in order to create new, innovative programs during their stay.

Qualifications / Skills Needed:
* Experience in Radio Broadcasting (Undergraduate degree in Communications or Journalism preferred)
* Exceptional interpersonal communication skills
* Flexibility and an open-mind
* Cultural Sensitivity
* Good organizational skills
* Creativity

Minimum Education: High School

Intern Types: Comm (Radio, TV, & Film) and Journalism

Language: English

Cost in US$: Starting from $940 for 6weeks

Cost Includes: Food, Housing, In-country orientation/Training and In-country staff support
