Description:
Interested to go to Jordan? We are looking for volunteer teachers.
- Volunteers will assist English teachers during the morning classes and teach lessons during the evening
- Volunteers will work with both children and adult students
- Volunteers will work five days a week, Monday-Thursday and Saturday (Fridays and Sundays are holidays)
- Housing near the school, health insurance, and Arabic lessons are provided to all volunteers
Retired adults and recent graduates are welcome to apply! Spouses are also welcome to volunteer together.

Typical Volunteer: A typical volunteer at the New Orthodox School assists with the morning English classes or in the kindergarten. The volunteer is then free until the evening classes, when they will teach for 2-4 hours. The volunteer will have a fixed schedule from week to week. Volunteers will give lessons for conversation, writing, or listening. No knowledge of Arabic is required, and Arabic lessons will be provided to each volunteer.

New Orthodox School is a Greek Orthodox, but students and teachers are from various religions based organization. We do not require our participants to be of the same faith. Our volunteers will not be involved in religious proselytizing.
