Volunteer Abroad in Bolivia!
  Bolivia

Durations of Program: 1-2 weeks, 2-4 weeks, 5-8 weeks and 9-12 weeks
Typical Duration of Program: 2-4 weeks
Dates: 1st and 3rd Monday of every month

Description: Rugged terrain, a stunning and dramatic variety of vividly contrasting landscapes, and a surprising lack of development makes Bolivia a truly enigmatic country in South America. With a picturesque skyline dominated by the Illimani, a forbidding peak soaring impossibly into the sapphire azimuth, Bolivia gives the impression of the Tibetan Plateau in many ways. In Rustic Volunteer Travel's volunteer in Bolivia program, volunteers will not only serve the local communities and children but also get opportunities to wander the markets of La Paz, hike in the ancient temples of the hallowed city of Tiahuanaco, or partake in a tour to the underground lake during free time.

Programs in Bolivia:

1. Orphanage Project
2. Creative Education
3. Conservation Project
4. Music Education
5. Children Special Needs
6. Sports Promotion Project

Volunteer Abroad in Bolivia!

Highlights: Projects are available in Santa Cruz (Andes Mountains, famously called the El Oriente by locals). Bolivia is celebrated for its famous mines and friendly yet diverse and protective culture. It's full of contrasts: from it Spanish influence style of architecture to the pre colonial period influence yet still has many of the amenities you would expect from a city.

Volunteers can organize different possible excursions during and after the project to visit places of interest. There is a tourist infrastructure already in place the volunteer can use during weekends. For example: skiing, silver mines, hot springs, mountains, ecotourism, pink river dolphins, riverboat trips, lakes, city tours, arts, entertainment parks, museums festivals, restaurants, hotels, and many more.
