Description:
Daily activities include painting, sports, computer and English lessons, and one on one mentoring. Conditions are neither extreme nor is there intensive manual labor. Although, volunteers are asked to be very involved with the children's painting activities. Volunteers can also offer alternative create experiences, so that their expertise or interests can be utilized.
Through the sales of their paintings, CCPP is able to generate some basic income for the children and their families. Further, we aim to connect artistic expression to general education, and to help them pursue regular schooling. We have over 100 kids who love to play, paint and learn. We are always looking for new ideas and appreciate what each volunteer brings to the project. Volunteers have the opportunity to join in on field trips to the beaches, to temples, and everyone's favorite...to see the monkeys. Also, volunteers have the opportunity to teach English at the local school for a week. Overall, there is plenty to do with a great bunch of children. The children that participate in this program are respectful, fun, and loving. Volunteers walk away from there time here feeling like they made a difference and more often than not, they return. Volunteering with us is an amazing experience and the memories will last a lifetime!
