At MBONWEH, several tasks can be fulfilled depending on the volunteers interests and skills.
* Teaching in the Primary Unique School (Batoke)
* Supporting the microfinance project
* Education of women: developing, realizing and evaluating workshops for women groups
* Fundraising
* Developing new projects of MBONWEH like youth work, vocational centre, etc.
* Writing a newsletter
* Etc.
Highlights:
MBONWEH Women's Development Association is an umbrella grass root women's non-governmental organization (NGO) in the Republic of Cameroon. Founded in 1988, (100% women membership), by a group of women leaders who were concerned with the increasing burden of poverty, crises and family responsibilities in which the women were trapped.
MBONWEH has three main activities:
* Education of women through workshops (HIV/AIDS, women rights, agriculture, income generating activities, etc.)
* Micro finance
* Education of children (Unique School in Batoke)
Qualifications / Skills Needed:
* The volunteer has to be minimum 21 years
* The volunteer has to speak fluent English
* The commitment of the volunteer in the South is voluntary. The expenditures incurred have to be beard by the volunteer
* The volunteer has to be able to adapt in different situations. She/he has to be open for other cultures.
* The volunteer has to take her/his responsibilities seriously and comply with the rules and regulations of the organisation.
* The volunteer is open and respectful in its dealings with the organisation and its target groups and prepared to discuss all matters in this same spirit.
